Ledge Point Golf Club was designed by PGA Life Member and past PGA president Jock Borthwick.
John 'Jock' Thorburn Borthwick was a Life Member of the PGA and President of the PGA of Australia from 1968 - 1979, and again in 1986. Jock's dream and design started in 2000, and in 2002 with the help of the Dad's Army, construction began on the course.
Ledge Point Golf Club officially opened in 2004 and is now one of the best small town golf courses north of Perth.
This 18 Hole (9 Holes with extra Tee's and Greens) links style course is sure to test out golfers of all abilities. With Grassed Greens, reticulated fairways, and views that stretch over the ocean, even a bad round is sure to bring a smile.
Be warned though, make sure you bring some spare golf balls. It may be short but it is very un-forgiving!
The club regularly holds competitions and visitors are most welcome. The regular Competition schedule is:
Wednesday: Ladies 18 Holes
Fridays: Mixed Scroungers 9 Holes
Saturdays: Mixed Competition 18 Holes
Sundays: Mixed Sledgers 9 Holes
Ledge Point Golf Club is maintained by volunteers and is a credit to their hard-work. Payment is made via an Honesty Box system and pricing is as follows:
Members
$10 per Day
Non Members
$15 - 9 Holes
$20 - 18 Hole
Clubs and Buggies are also available for hire should you leave your clubs at home. The Club has also recently added 2 motorised Golf Carts to it's collection which are available for hire.
